Thirteen

„Wh..where am I? What happened?“ Angel opened her eyes slowly. „Ugh!“ She gets up but notices she was chained. „Oh no!“ She tryes her best to brake the chain. She pulled and pulled. Bit and strached. But the chain was too strong for her to brake free. After she gave up she decided to examine the room where she woke up at the beginning. „Mom?“ She says. „Mom??“ Then louder. She got scared and started shaking. „You were right mom...I am not gonna be as good as you...Im sorry...“ she closed her eyes cause her head was heavy and she was very tired. Suddanlly she heared footsteps. „Where is she?“ an unfamiliar voice asked. „In here...“ The other replyed. She got scared. The door unlocked and a creature she has never seen before steped into the cell where Angel was. The creature seemed like its not from this planet. It looked like a dragon a little,but more of an alien hybrid of a dragon. Angel couldn't stand the silence so she asked „Who are you? What happened? Where am I? Where is my mom?! You left her tehre with the spino! What if she is injured or worse...dead??“ She was shaking. The creature was looking at her for a while. Finally it spoke „You ask too many questions Angel. Dont worry your mother will be fine. She suffered a few injuryes but luckily Pyron and Flame helped her out.“ Angel was just stareing. „What are you? Who are you?“ She asked. „You can call me Thirteen...and Im here to do whatever I can to get us back up there.“ Angel was confused „Us? Up where?“ „Meaning that I have to get you,your parents, your best warriors and myself up there!“ Thirteen pointed thru the window. „Umm..Im sorry but I dont see anything up there but the stars!“ „Yep. And thats where we are going.“ „Huh?! The stars??“ „No,silly. The star will burn you to death. We are going to the town of Bane High.“ „You mean...“ „Yes, its a space town. One of many in the galaxy. Not just this galaxy but there are a lot of space towns resisting theyre planets gravity in this Sole system. Like,your planet earth has her space towns,like Bane High. You Earth creatures think youre the only ones in the universe? Guess again.“ Thirteen took Angel out for a walk. Angel was amazed by what the creature was telling her „So your real name is Thirteen? From what planet you are? What galaxy are you comming from? What are you exactly?“ „Woah woah woah waaaaaay too many questions in only 3 seconds!“ Thirteen was annoyed „Sorry....“ Angel said. „My real name is Remy. But my kind is special so we are named by numbers. I was created 13th,so thats my nickname. We are not that different from you dragons,but we dont use natural elements and,unlike your mother for example, we prefer to use more brawn then brains. But that doesnt make us any dumber nor does that make your mother any weaker.“ Angel listened carefully. They reached the highest point of Glasco. Thirteen continued. „My species is called Pleada. And Im from the asterism of the Pleadas,wich we are named after. Its more known as Seven Sisters in your world.“ Angel nodded. „I allways watched the night sky and tryed to find the Seven sisters but its too hard for me.“ „You gotta try harder then.“ Thirteen looked at the night sky. She notices something. Three glowing starlike objects orbiting the Earth at a very high speed. She turns to Angel. „We gotta get to your parents, fast.“ She touched Angels hand and they wanished in the blink of an eye leaving a small ring of blue fire behind while the wind blew strong around it.

Hunter becomes pray

As I said before our little 'In Spe' village,as how I liked to call it,was situated in a deserted area. Underground ruins had enough water for everyone and our hunters would go on a trip in search for food that lasted for 3 days,but sometimes even 3 months. We still managed to be satisfied with the desert food. Meaning that we rely on the turkey volchers,reel shadows and a few migrating camels that get lost in the desert. I am a hunter as well. I am hunting only at times when we really need food and when our food gatherers are on a long search party. They've been away for 6 days now. So I had to do my job. I scouted thru the desert with Angel. She asked me if she can tag along. At first I didnt want to,but then what can happen? Those are just dumb old desert birds. So I agreed and we took of. We went one hour up north to the reel shadows teritory. Reel shadows are indignant desert birds. They look like turkey volchers,but are smaller and weaker. Black colored. „Why arent we hunting the big ones?“ Angel asked. „Cause the search party will be comming soon...And since there are only 2 of us and 1000's of them,we are outnumbered and we could become theyr meal. You know how vicious and bloodthirsty they can be.“ Angel nodded but I can see that she was a bit disappointed. We looked at the big shadow mountain that reminded of a huge bear. We walked towards it until.. „Ugh! Whats that God awfull smell?? Yuck!“ Angel made a face. „Shh... you know that they eat meat too so probably some leftovers.“ „Oh my God I think Im gonna vomit.“ I rolled my eyes. „Softy...“ I said. „Hey! It just stinks,ok?!“ She was mad. I laughed. „You gotta adapt to it if you intend to survive on a battlefield,cause believe me its gonna be full of dead bodyes and huge stench.“ Angel was a bit shocked. „Im sure its not gonna be anything worse then this.“ She was hardheaded. I looked around and didnt hear nor see anything,anyone. „Mom,what happened to the birds?“ Angel asked. I got a bit scared now. I know the reels never leave theyr teritoy unless they attack us or they eat eachoter. Could it be that Angel and I havent noticed anything on our way here? Is it possible that the reels are attacking our village right now without me or Angel seeing or hearing a single reel shadow in the sky? It isnt. Did they get attacked? Did they fly away? Theres only one thing that could scare of the reel shadows. A predator. A huge,monstruous,mercyless predator. But one such thing never existed. I could be wrong.. „Hey mom!“ I heard Angel calling me from the distance. „Look at this!!“ She was standing on an elevated area. I ran towards her to see what she saw. „What happened to them?!“ I was shocked. The reel shadows,all 400 of them,killed. Massacred. There were body parts everywhere. I noticed that the reel shadows werent the only ones killed. There were human parts,dragon parts. Imagine a desert... filled with massacred bodies of humans,dragons and other creatures. That's how it looked like. Something huge happened here. And its still fresh,kind of. Maybe 2 days old. The awfull smell was giving us a headacke. I thought I will throw up until Angel finally spoke. „Mom,is this how it looks like on a battle field?“ „Kind of,but this is worse. This is like someone is collecting parts of bodyes...“ I turned my head to the elevated area „..and puts them into one place. A sink hole.“ Angel shed a tear. I looked at her and she hugged me. „You were right... I am a softy.. I couldnt be in a battle. I couldnt lead the army. I am sorry I let you and dad down, I really wanted to be like you. I wanted you to be proud of me,but I am just too scared. I thought I could do it but now that I see this I ask myself: ''what if that becomes of my army?'' and I really dont want that!“ „Dont say that Angel! You need to overcome your fears. I will train with you and make you a great leader.“ We hugged again. Sudanlly the ground started shaking. Then stopped. Then it shaked again. „What is that??“ Angel said. „Hush! Follow me and be quiet!“ We hide in a small cave. The thing that was making the ground shake was a Spinosaur. Yes, a dino,not like the one we had billions of years ago. This one was bigger,faster and more dangerous and bloodthirsty. A spino is 19 meters in lenght and 7 to 9 tons weight. It can run really fast despite his weight and it can jump very high. So if Angel and I took flight we would be too slow and it would reach us in a blink of an eye. He can hear in range of 4km and pick up a sent within 6-7km in range. It was a bloody killing machine. We feard of it as soon as we entered the desert lands. But we had highly trained forces so we werent that much scared. But 2 of them did attack us on our way thru the desert. It was a cold,hard battle. Many were injured,many have died. But most of us survived and kept on going. The spino picked up the sent of dead body parts in the sink hole,he smelled a little then started eating. Angel was shaking. „What are we gonna do?“ „Be very quiet and stick to my side.“ I said. We glided towards the ground and landed. „Shh...“ I reminded Angel. She noded. The spino stopped eating. He looked towards us,got up and roarded. It was so loud. Angel and I looked behind at him. He started runing towards us. „NOOO!“ I yelled. I knew that we are too slow for him. I had to think of a plan. „Mom! Why is he chasing us if he has enough food there?!“ Angel was yelling. „He is a hunter! He doesnt want to be fed! I wants to hunt!“ „Oh no! What are we gonna do?!“ I was thinking of using my electricity at him,but I didnt have enough energy to kill him,only slow him down enough for us to fly as high as possible. I crouched and prepared for a lightning storm. „MOM!“ Angel yelled. I looked behind and she was gone. After a few minutes all I could hear was the sound of the spinos roar getting closer. I was dinner, served.

Dream within a Dream

It's been 4 years since I last saw Nathan,Buraki,Bulco and the other evil masterminds. 4 years since Flame and I escaped from the divisions of building 26. In case youre wondering what happened ,some months after the escape we gathered mini forces and attacked the building 26. The little luck we had was on our side...we destroyed the building but unfortunatly it was by an accident. Many of our foces got killed and injured,and the prisioners of the building never made it out. Angel grew up and I was killing myself inside for missing out the half of my childs life. She trained and trained harder and harder everyday hoping she will become strong and powerfull. It is her dream to become the leader and lead her forces to war. Usually when it gets to childs wishes and dreams,the mother is the biggest suport they can get. But I was not supporting her, I was against her becoming a warrior and go into battles. I am afraid she would loose,the battle? No.. her life. I keep trying to talk her out of it and thats why we argue a lot. „But MOM! I wanna help my allies in war!“ „They are well trained soldiers with expireience in battles! You dont know whats it like out there in the battlefield!“ „Gosh! Leave me alone allready!“ Angel yelled and left to see Spirit. I rolled my eyes and looked at the horizon. We were in the middle of nowhere. Dirt,sand and dead trees here and there. Lifeless. This is how our planet looks like. Dead. A year ago we started fighting over food,a few months ago the Clay Empire and a few countryes declared world war because of less and less drinkable water. In big towns , war breaks out due to lack of raw materials, clothing, food, water and shelter. In small areas the main cause of war is overpopulations so they kill eachother for more space and food. Buraki has withdrawn its machines from the field and we do not know whether hes upgrading them with new materials and viruses, providing plans and designs of new types of monstrous machines or planning something completly new and suprises us with it sooner or later. It was nice to not to be afraid when you go out. Not to look around constantly for machines. But Im sure whatever hes doing its gonna be big and we have to prepare for the worst. As for Pyron,he is the leader,yes. A very strong leader dedicated to his duties. I am leading only small forces and helping out the big guy there. But he is the leader of our entyre village. Yes we built a village and called it Spes,wich translated from latin means hope or faith. We believe in that. We pray every night and day for a miracle,for a world of peace and we never loose our hopes. Now,our village isnt actually with houses its with tents. 100 – 200 tents situated in the dead lands. We have enough food and water for everyone,allways cause we have very special hunters and gatherers in our village. Flame is a co-leader switching me,so when Im gone he goes on my place. Nera is still my best friend allways helps me out and gives me a good advice. Lagon is our main guard. Spirit trains with Angel. Anakin is one of our best food gatherers. Spyro and Cynder and the rest of our old friends keep the village safe and sound in peaceful harmony. If we ignore the scenario we have around us,our village is a little heaven. Now as for me,well everythings the same. My main power is ice followed by water. I have forgoten the ways of the wind and earth. My scales are still blue but they did get darker. „Gana,are you ok?“ Pyron came,we hugged. „Im worried about Angel,I dont want her to go into wars..youve seen that many times,its dangerous. Even I almost got killed out there and I have alot of experience in it!“ „I know,honey. But give her a chance. See her how she moves,how she attacks..and maybe you can give her a few tips you know? Be her trainer. That way you can make her avoid every mistake and failure you had in your battles and make her a better fighter.“ He winked. I actually like the sound of that. But right now I gotta find myself cause Im lost. It was twilight. I watched the horizon for a few more minutes and thought about a lot of things. All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.
